Happy Memorial Day!

Once again there's been a huge delay in blog posts- I believe it's due to the warm weather. Eden and I have been playing outside a lot and haven't felt much like being inside at the computer. For about a week and a half I was swamped with embroidery jobs for graduation. It was great for our budget, but not a lot of fun for Eden. We've made up for it with lots of fun in our "pool". So all of that to say- we are still here and well- just enjoying the weather before the heat sets in. Until the next post, here are some picturese for you all to smile at.

One Year Ago Today!

We are so thankful to say that today Eden is ITP free! I know that we had a blog for a long time that was pretty much only filled with Eden's ongoing health saga and then we dropped it. I know that most of you know the outcome, but for those of you who don't- Eden received her last treatment in October of last year and was released from the Doctor in December. Since then Eden's ITP has (thankfully) become a thing of the past.
Although the worst of it is over, we are still in a great debate on the future of her vaccinations. We are very thankful though that this saga in our lives is over- so to all of you out there who lifted her (and us) up with so many prayers- a VERY belated thank you.

The Little Gym

Every Thursday Eden and I get to go to The Little Gym (because of a generous birthday gift from Charlie and Luke). Eden LOVES it. Today Daddy was able to join us and so I was able to snap some pictures. One of her favorites is putting things away, Mike and I are hoping this will continue as she gets older. She's definitely taking it all in right now. It seems like whenever you show her something she'll come back and do it. Today it was shaking her finger at you from 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed. Pretty cute, if I do say so myself.

I Can Do It Myself!

We all know that a toddlers favorite thing to say is I can do it myself- and if Eden could talk that is exactly what she'd say. Needless to say a bath was in order after lunch today.

Discoveries!!

Eden, Mike and I made a trip to the park last night where Eden made lots of new discoveries. First up were dandelions- something that takes us all back to our childhood! As any intelligent one year old knows- they all go straight in the mouth, mmm... tasty!
We also enjoyed some fruit smoothie. When allergy season hits (and it's here in full bloom)I am always looking for something to drink that will cure the scratchy feeling in my throat that lingers for a few weeks. Shakes and smoothies work well.
Now that Eden is walking (and walking well) there are a lot of fun things for her to explore. Mike and I were talking about how everyone always says, "when they start walking, watch out", well for us it has improved life. She is more content and it's really fun to watch her as she discovers so many new things on her own.
Another fun thing at the park was a rocket ship, like the ones that Mike and I remember from our childhood. Eden and I crawled inside. It was a little tighter than I remember and the top platform was blocked off, oh well, we still had a great time and got to head down the slide- one of Eden's favorites.
*note- to all of you who are asking yourselves, "When is Mike going to take back over the blog so I don't have to read Sarah's crappy writing?" You may want to look elsewhere. Between his new job and studying for his MCSE (Microsoft certification) after Eden and I are in bed he's a little busy; and that will last for awhile as there are 7 tests and he's just getting going. So that being said, he may squeeze one in here and again- but for now you are stuck with me, sorry!
